Leading real estate firm Century Properties and Versace, the world-renowned fashion-luxury brand, broke ground for The Milano Residences and unveiled its prestigious showrooms today, following the partnership announcement in October, 2010.

The groundbreaking ceremony was held at the residential project's future site, Century City, the 3.4-hectare flagship mixed-use development of Century Properties in the Philippines' foremost financial centre, Makati City.

Versace CEO was joined by Century Properties officials, led by its Chairman, Mr Jose E.B. Antonio and Managing Director and Milano Residences Project Head, Mr Robbie Antonio.

Gian Giacomo Ferraris, CEO of Versace Group said, "We are delighted to bring Versace Home to the Philippines and the vibrant city of Manila. Versace is world-famous for its glamorous approach to fashion and in Versace Home we have found a way to transfer this design aesthetic to interiors to create truly extraordinary and desirable living spaces."

Mr. Robbie Antonio, Century Properties' Managing Director and Milano Residences Project Head said, "Versace Home, the authority in expressing the essential art of luxury living, is now in Manila through The Milano Residences. To have a Versace Home interior-designed address presents a rare opportunity, and an immense value to both end users and investors, for units are very few in number and are considered highly collectible real estate."

The Milano Residences showroom unveiling is one of Century Properties' highlights for 2011, its 25th anniversary. The Philippine developer, whose track record in luxury projects includes the award-winning Essensa East Forbes in Manila (by Pei Cobb Freed and Partners) is collaborating with the interior designers of Versace Home to provide an exclusive design service for the public spaces of The Milano Residences.

With 53 floors, The Milano Residences is the first project interior designed by Versace Home in Southeast Asia. It is slated for completion in 2015.

The building's architecture will complement Versace Home's elegant interior design aesthetic, which will be evident in the grand lobby, hallways, lounge, library, pool garden and spa. Versace Home will also create interior inspirations that residents may adopt for their own units, and they will also have the option to purchase Versace Home items.

The building is expected to have a total of 340 units with 1 to 3-bedroom configurations. Prime units in various sizes and layouts include The Penthouses, The Townhouses and Italian-inspired units called The Loggias that feature private plunge pools a first in a Makati condo.
